THERAPEUTIC USES: Copaiba is an oleo-resin, an oily tree sap, although normally it is referred to as an oil because of its consistency. The most prominent use of copaíba is as an amazing wound healer. It is very fast acting in closing large superficial or deep cuts. It's best action is when used in conjunction with Andiroba, which is to be put on first if the cut is very deep for it systemically heals the inner tissues, and then you use Copaíba on the surface to close the surface wound.

When taken a few drops mixed with honey internally it is considered traditionally a great remedy for bronchial and other respiratory problems. A few drops can also be mixed in shakes as a supplement and is considered beneficial to the stomach and the internal organs in general. It is a wonderful remedy to put on cuts to stop bleeding and it helps to close wounds quite quickly.

Copaíba is widely used in all of Brazil by various different traditions. It is a broad ranging remedy, good to have in a home.

Copaíba is widely known and used in mainstream culture in Brazil, as well as indigenous cultures. It is a very concentrated oil, the only cautions are to not use it on a wound that is still infected because it could seal in the infection because it works os fast, and to use it continuously internally for two weeks at most. It is very conectrated, so it is necessary to take breaks when ingesting.
