All of our medicines come from the state of Acre, right in the heart of the Amazon Forest. They are made in a traditional and artisan manner by the original people, no machinery is involved at any point.

 

The traditional use of this medicine began thousands of years ago in the indigenous cultures of what we know as South America. The production comes about as a result of the deep understanding and cooperation of these earth based people with the forces of Nature, Her medicinal plants, and Her plants of power. The plants are all harvested in the forest and dried in the sun, the vital force of our brightest star giving them life as they are transformed. The plants are harvested ethically, taken from the places which are abundant and also replanted so that we are not only taking from the Natural world, but exchanging. These medicines are prayed over, so that they may bring life, health, happiness, and open paths wherever they go. 

 

Before this medicine arrives to you, there is knowledge and experience of many lifetimes, passed on from generation to generation, deepened and maintained in this living culture which are the sacred medicines of the people of the forest. Every medicine is the story of a people… We aim to maintain it that way, with immense respect for the cultural heritage which we consider essential to what we do.

This medicine is used ceremonially and in prayer, seen as a powerful masculine plant ally and bridge to the spirit world. If used in the correct and intentional manner, it can open all chakras, being a conduit for your bodies energetic channels, allowing energy to flow more freely and aligning your being. It brings an immense sensation of mental clarity, dissipating negative energies. This medicine is ideally used in the forest or in nature, as it is a tool of connection to Earth’s Sacred energy.

 

Depending on the strength or quantity in which the medicine is used, it can bring on some very deep spiritual cleansing, causing sensations such as sweat, nausea and vomiting. Knowing the correct dose, and starting slow are recommendations so that you may have good experiences, and reach for those more intense ones only when they are needed. It is important not to inhale the medicine, as that can allow it go into your lungs. The indigenous apply the medicine using tools know as Kuripes and Tepis, which we have for sale on our platform. In this way, the medicine is blown into the nasal passages, either by your own breath (Kuripe- the self applicator), or by someone else’s breath (Tepi). It is extremely important not to allow it to flow into the stomach, as it can make you nauseous, so it is normal to spit it up in order to prevent that. 

 

This medicine is a living medicine, it carries aroma and vitality which are what gives it it’s strength and potency. The shelf life is up to two years, however being exposed to humidity can accelerate the deterioration. The most important way to care for it, is to keep it in a cool and dry place.
